Engen 1.0.62 -- Available Here
« on: July 28, 2017, 03:51:45 pm »

This is the latest version of Engen for Windows.  Please post bugs here.  Please start a new thread for anything requiring discussion. Non-bug posts will be deleted.

1.0.62 (7/28/2017)

1. NEW: Began implementing node refresh. Refresh will immediately poll the designated input(s) for new values.
2. NEW: The web interface automatically uses refresh on devices with power meters, so turning a device with a power meter on or off will refresh the power meter sooner.
3. Changed: Made several improvements to device health and network health pages. Now, colors will reflect performance.
4. Changed: Expanded the list of possible programmable buttons for button controllers to a maximum of 16.
5. Changed: Adjusted the precision of the numbers on the device health page to make it more readable.

1.0.61 (7/21/2017)

1. NEW: Began implementing device health (accessed from the device page) and network health (accessed from the setup page). For now, they just display raw data.
2. Changed: Battery and temperature icons are a bit more reflective of their values.
3. Fixed: Associations were not being sent to the device, breaking some button controllers.

1.0.60 (7/14/2017)

1. NEW: Added an option to hide a device to the device edit page under General. You can toggle the visibility of hidden devices with the visibility button (button with an eye icon on the home page).
2. NEW: Implemented aliases for device inputs. Now, all device inputs can have a name (alias). For now, aliases will only show up on the web interface for binary switches, but most input types can have them.
3. Changed: The sliders now use step increments of 5, which will make it easier to click 0 and 99.
4. Changed: Added a color gradient to dimmer sliders.
5. Fixed: Devices could be moved when the layout was locked after using the color picker.
6. Fixed: The move cursor would show on the scene setup page after using the color picker.

1.0.59 (7/7/2017)

1. NEW: Added options in Setup to create a database backup and restore the database from a backup. (Note: This will not work to recover from using Remove All Devices)

1.0.58 (6/30/2017)

1. Changed: On the scene setup page, when you change a device input, it will check the checkbox for that input. For sliders and switches, it will only check the checkbox if you're not turning the input off.
2. Fixed: On the new button page, the device menu was using None instead of the address of the controller if the controller didn't have a name.

1.0.57 (6/23/2017)

1. NEW: Added a help section at the bottom of the scene setup page.
2. Changed: On the scene setup page, devices that contain an input set to be included in the current scene will be highlighted.
3. Fixed: Devices were not refreshing after a get so there would be a delay when updating inputs.

1.0.56 (6/15/2017)

1. NEW: The new button configuration page will now display which buttons are assigned to which scene in a table at the bottom.
2. NEW: Added an option to remove all devices and delete all scenes and button configurations. This is only meant as a last resort for removing phantom devices on older z-sticks!
3. Changed: Selecting an assigned button on the new button configuration page will select the scene to which it is assigned.
4. Changed: Adjusted the tolerance when dragging and dropping to use the mouse cursor for placement instead of the card area. This will help with larger cards fitting into empty categories.
5. Changed: Added an option in setup to show/hide the 'All On' '50%' and 'All Off' buttons.
6. Fixed: In some instances, devices could not be moved out of a category and stored in another if it would leave the category empty.
7. Fixed: Controller devices were not showing up on the new button configuration page on the NUC Id and Id Pi.
8. Fixed: Controller devices were not activating scenes on Windows.

1.0.55 (6/2/2017)

1. NEW: Added support for the Aeon Wallmote and the Remotec 8-button wall controller.
2. Changed: The search function on the web interface will now hide a category if all the cards in it are hidden.
3. Changed: Slightly increased the contrast of the web interface background colors.
4. Changed: Moved the add and remove category buttons to the setup page.
5. Fixed: If a node is unnamed and you try to configure its buttons, Engen would crash.
6. Fixed: Not all types of controllers would show up on the button configuration page.
7. Fixed: When verifying new-style buttons, Engen could crash.
8. Fixed: Changing device configurations on the web interface was broken.

1.0.54 (5/26/2017)

1. NEW: Implemented a new sortable web interface. Users can now create multiple categories and drag device cards to different categories. Users can also rearrange the order of the categories, as well as the devices inside the categories, and the layout will be saved.
2. Changed: Made several adjustments to the formatting of the web interface to make the pages more consistent.
3. Fixed: Scale and calibration settings for temperature sensors were getting deleted on the next data fetch after being configured.

1.0.53 (5/15/2017)

1. NEW: Implemented a new drag and drop extension to the web interface. You can now manually reorder devices by drag and drop when 'Layout' is unlock.
2. Changed: Subnode inputs are now hidden within a dropdown list. Just click on "+ More" to expand the subnode list.
3. Changed: Battery node polling is now more intelligent.
4. Changed: Engen is now more persistent about getting configuration information.
5. Changed: Improved error messages for path_set and path_get.
6. Changed: The database now stores more information for sensors so they show up when Engen starts.
7. Fixed: Unicode errors in the terminal interface.
8. Fixed: Changed sensor_binary and sensor_multilevel to work with Everspring temperature/humidity sensor.
