ISO - Auto mount and play on Linux
« on: September 16, 2017, 10:20:24 am »

Hi everybody.

I'm trying to get the playback of ISO's to work on Linux (Ubuntu 17.04). I've been searching here on the forum and tried following this guide: https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/ISO_Files, but there is no Tools-Options-File types option as far as I can see.

I have Furius ISO Mount installed and would like to use this the way I've used VCD on Windows with great success before.

Any suggestions?

I might be wrong, but I thought ISO video (e.g. DVD ISOs, BD ISOs, etc.) playback doesn't work to begin with in MC for Linux and Mac?

If I'm right, you might have to convert to a different format, e.g. MKV via MakeMKV.

I'm certain that the Mac version supports SACD files that are presumably ISOs.  I'm also certain that MC for Mac does not support ISOs of DVDs or BDs, nor does it support folder structures of either.

If the OP wants to play videos from ISO, I don't think MC for Linux can do it.
