Built a Chinese dac this week... Using Toslink no lock! .
« on: November 22, 2017, 06:50:18 pm »

Went thru all the audio settings in JR22, output format, sound control panel... But I'm not able to lock onto the input.
Had it lock once or twice but not since!
I have no experience with Toslink...
Using the PC built in Realtek Toslink Connector with generic fiber optical cable...
Any suggestions appreciated....

If I was building a DIY DAC, I'd check out an ODAC and draw on experience from the diyaudio forum:
http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/head-n-hifi-walter/211583-odac-technical-discussions.html

That's not to say your Chinese horse is no good but more one of seeking out an end result where you'll get community support. You should try your luck over at diyaudio, I'd bet you'll get get some useful responses.
