Recently started focusing on Audio and am seeing the following behavior on playing ripped CD's. Whenever I skip to the next track, or click on another spot on the timeline of the current track, I hear (as best I can determine - Times estimated):

1. Break (less than 0.1 second)
2. Repeat of current position (approx. 0.2 second)
3. Break (approx. 0.3 second)
4. Start of next track or selected position

This occurs regardless of changes made on the Options/Audio Track Change or Stop/Seek/Skip settings. Just upgraded to 64 bit MC23 but saw same behavior in MC22.

I feel like I have missed (or messed up) some simple setting. It is making it frustrating to listen to music. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Are you playing tracks locally or to a DLNA/networked device?

Playing locally via HDMI to a Theta Casablanca IVa preamp/processor.

If you're using a WASAPI output (which you should be) you might want to try changing the buffer size in device options.
If you're on Windows 10, I find that 10ms works best, but that can be very dependent on the system it's running on.
 
You may also want to try the "disable event style" option.
I would not expect it to be an issue with HDMI, but do have that problem when playing to an old sound card without that option enabled.

Thanks for the help. I have finally discovered that it is not JRiver doing this. It does the same thing if I play in several other players. I recently got an upgrade to my Casablanca and I am guessing that therein lies the issue. I will follow up with Theta.
