When the media network (specifically, the DLNA Server) is enabled, what criteria does MC use to keep the PC awake?

I ask since recently, the PC on which JRiver is installed doesn't seem to be going to sleep.  The recent significant change made, per the long-ish discussion in another thread (JRemote often plays just a single track), was to have the computer use a DHCP reservation, rather than a static IP address.  This change seems to have helped with UPnP's M-Search multicasts, as DLNA Renderers now appear much more quickly when they're powered-up. 

One of the renderers on the network, though, is always left on.  I'm wondering if its presence, and a non-empty (but not playing) playlist for that renderer could be keeping JRiver "awake".  Any insights would be appreciated.

The MC server (on a Windows 7 box) is staying on, when it is intended to sleep (after a sufficient period of idle time).

That Windows 7 box rarely plays music these days; we're instead using renderers out in the living room.

If the renderer is not playing, then it’s unlikely to be what is keeping the server awake. Unless perhaps the renderer is holding an HTTP socket open on the renderer. Check if there is any difference between issuing a (premature) STOP and issuing a Clear Playlist command from the control point..

After a reboot, several hours of music, and then explicitly clearing the playlist (via JRemote), the PC did go to sleep.  So, we may be on to something.

Getting the PC to sleep again, though, then let me experiment with that other playing (playing just a single track).  I'll update that issue.
