JRiver M23 Crashes Repeatedly
« on: March 27, 2018, 12:40:38 am »

Hey guys hope all is well.

I started my trial of JRiver M23 last week and everything was running smooth up until today. I was trying to return it back to default settings and now the program won't go 10 seconds without completely crashing. iIt's quite sad because I love this software and was looking to make a full purchase.

I've been browsing these forums along and cannot for the life of me seem to diagnosis what's going on. Any help would be immensely appreciated. Thanks in advance guys.

My system is: macOS High Sierra Version 10.13.3

Same here!

New install using Windows 10.  JRiver v23 was configured up & running without incident.  Today the program crashes if I attempt to play music, watch TV, basically it's doing nothing except freezing and never coming back.  I can't tell if there was an intervening update in the last week as I haven't used JRiver at all.

Is the only solution reinstalling JRiver & re configuring everything?

NEVER MIND  ;D

Upgraded manually from v102 to v103 and it corrected whatever was wrong.  Simple fix, now back to enjoying my media!

If you're experiencing crashing, try disabling auto-import and see if the crashes go away. If they do, it's likely you might have a bad file which is causing MC to crash.

Auto-Import is disabled and it still crashes. It probably is a bad file like you said Awesome Donkey. The only thing is that it won't stay open for more than 5-10 seconds without completely shutting down, so I have no chance to figure out what's causing the hiccup.

My only work around was to download JRiver M22. Hope I can figure out what's going on as I do want to purchase M24, I just don't want a repeat of this problem with that version.
