TIDAL Streaming
« on: April 11, 2018, 10:55:56 am »

I read with interest the Streaming post on the V24 board

I know that Tidal is Low (if at all ) on JRiver's horizons but I have recently started using it and love it

I can stream to my iPad and hence to phones etc but is there a way anyone has found to remotely access and stream via JRiver to my normal network devices ?

I stream via JRemote and an ethernet network to a Cambridge Audio CXN . CA have just released a firmware upgrade to allow Tidal direct from their app but its a pale shadow of JRemote , it may have to do but that then means 2 apps to do the 2 halves , Music from JRemote, Tidal from CA

It also goes away from the concept of one source , one remote etc

Mike

Anyone any ideas, I know a competitor can do this rather seamlessly ?

I would like this too.

On my Squeezeboxes Tidal works well, despite Logitech Media Server being an antique, free and now only supported by volunteers. It might not be the most slick system, but it works fine. On my main systems I have to use the Tidal app and the JRiver WDM, which is far less elegant.

But I think there is some history of issues, so it's probably never going to happen.

I don't work for JRiver... I help keep the forums safe from Viagra and other sources of sketchy pharmaceuticals.
