10-star rating option
« on: May 24, 2018, 09:29:45 pm »

Greetings,

I would like to rate my audio files, based on their sound quality.

Media Center has an easy to use 5-star rating option.  But I would like more granularity for my ratings.
I would like a 10-star rating option.

I cannot find one.  Does it exist?

Version:
23.0.104
(I will be upgrading soon)

Thank you.

I would actually like less.  3 stars would cover me just fine.

Excellent
Good
Tolerable

I suspect that since 5 stars is pretty 'normal' across most rating spaces, there will be no change here.

He can have my 5 stars.  I never use ratings at all.  ;)

I would like a 10-Star rating system as well.  I am forever trying to decide between 3 & 4.  So a 7 would be nice.  lol.  (Or maybe a 3.5?)

I searched, and searched, and found a posting where the author discussed how to transfer his 5-star ratings to 10-star ratings -- meaning: the 10-star option exists.  That gave me the inspiration to press on.  I eventually found it.

I made a 65 second video.

It would be even better if it allowed you to pick the number of stars for your custom field.  Maybe it is there?  I am not, however, going to continue hunting for something that might not exist.

Hopefully, the video will help some folks.

Cheers!
