I have an Astell & Kern A&norma SR15. My PC has the latest version of Windows 10. Windows sees the device under Devices.

JRiver Media Center 24.0.41 does not see the device. I have tried Tools/Options/Portable Device/Redetect. It still does not show up.

I've tried rebooting everything. It does not show up.

I tried redetecting after rebooting everything and it does not show up.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Just ordered an SR15 myself, did you manage to fix the issue?

What do you think of the SR15, it was heads or tails for that of the AK70

I don't have any experience with the AK70.

So far JRiver has not updated its software to see the SR15. JRiver seems non-responsive about updating their software.

One can manually copy music to the SR15 via Windows. The SR15 plays nicely. But my headphone jack connection became flaky this last week. I only get one channel and sometimes no channels. If I wiggle it I get one channel again. For an $800 product, one would expect the jack connection to be fundamentally solid. I contacted AK to get it fixed.

I don't think an update is required.  If the device shows up in Windows Explorer, it should show up in MC.

I'm telling you with the latest version of Windows 10 and MC 24, MC does not recognized the device but Windows does.

I own a SR15 too. I had no luck to connect MC 24 to the SR15.
Tried on Windows 10 with MC 24 32bit and 64bit versions as well as with macOS.
It shows up in Windows 10 Explorer but not in MC 24.

Same with my Hiby R6 DAP - shown in Windows Explorer but not in MC 24.

Has it been definitively verified that JMC does *not* work on a&norma SR15? I tried to get the interface to recognize my SR15 from two different WIN10 servers but no dice.

Try the 32 bit version of MC.

Did that and everything rkrutli (above) has done and still can't get MC24 to recognize the JRiver. Also, I forgot to add with my OP that I'm using a trial version if that makes a difference? I have no problem spending the $59.95 for this otherwise nice interface...but it has to support my device. If it's not designed to and doesn't, I'll look elsewhere.

The trial is fully featured, so it'd be the same.

I have the same issue with my AK70 - MC23 picks it up fine but MC24 won't recognise it. I'm a bit bummed as I just paid the $20 upgrade charge hoping that handhelds would be better supported in MC24 but if anything it looks to be worse.

I have never had *any* success in using MC2* to support my handheld - even if the device is recognised, MC2* can't be used to sync which is a bit of a basic flaw

I don't know of a difference between 23 and 24 that could account for that.  Maybe you're using the 64 bit version of MC and you have a 32 bit driver.  That won't work.

Saying odd that it's not detected implies someone, somewhere got MC24 to recognize the SR15. But all I've seen here are folks like me who can't get it to work with this particular device. My free trial ends tomorrow but I'm not buying an app that won't support my DAP so I thought I'd bump this now.

I hate bumping topics, but you might try the latest MC25 build since a handheld issue was fixed that was preventing a Astell & Kern Kann from working (which is working now) so it might work for the SR15 now as well.
