None of the tracks can be transferred. Common errors include insufficient rights

Trying use JRiver 24 64bit for first time to transfer files to older Apple ITouch.  JRiver identified the device.  I set up the conversion protocol in case of FLAC files.  Then I just tried transferring a couple files.  One FLAC and one MP3.  Neither would transfer and both caused the the message "None of the tracks can be transferred. Common errors include insufficient rights or unsupported file types"

Any ideas on how to fix this or am I SOL due to it being an older Apple product?

Don't think any Apple devices support FLAC by default. ALAC (Apple Lossless) *should* work though.

Thought I understood that JRiver would make the necessary conversion from FLAC to ALAC or MP3.  But I tried each individually to make sure that wasn't the problem and the MP3 gave the same error message.

What file types have you set to be allowed to transfer?

Have you set "Convert if required"? If so, try mandatory conversion.

  Running JRiver for Android, JRemote2, Gizmo, & MO 4Media on a Sony Xperia XZ Premium Android 9.
  Playing video out to a Sony 65" TV connected via HDMI, playing digital audio out via motherboard sound card, PCIe TV tuner

I set it Convert if required - will try your suggestion.

If this is a still valid list of how the syncing works/doesn't work that would be great to know so my expectations are calibrated properly.  thx!  If any of the experts can verify that this is how MC 24 still supports handheld devices this is great info.
