Playing Now screen won't update
« on: September 01, 2018, 09:50:27 pm »

Hi,
I have JRiver Media Center 24 and recently, the screen became stuck on a CD that was no longer in the player. Insert a new CD and it shows the "stuck" CD only and tries to play it. How do I clear this?

There was a problem recently after the security breach at JRiver where the online CD database (YADB) that MC looks up wasn't available. That may have resulted in a change of behaviour, which is what you are seeing. That online database is up and running now, so the problem should have gone away.

I assume that you are on MC24, so updating to the latest public version wouldn't hurt either. https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,117231.0.html

Otherwise, just a restart of MC and/or a reboot of your PC should fix things.

If none of the above works you are possibly looking in the wrong place in MC. Search the Wiki for "Playing Now" and check out everything in "Getting Started".
