Customizing Analyze Audio?
« on: October 18, 2018, 11:31:02 am »

Is it possible customize Analyze Audio? I would like to subtract 5 LU from Volume Level (R128). For example; instead of Analyze Audio tagging the file at -16 LU, I would like it tagged at -11 LU so it plays louder when using volume leveling.

No, thats not supported. It follows the EBU R 128 specification and its defined reference level.
Additionally, changing this during analysis would be a bit cumbersome, since you would have to re-analyze everything if it was ever changed again.

Basically, why don't you just increase the volume?

Thanks for the reply Jim. I basically want an in-between volume, between adaptive volume, and volume leveling. Would it be feasible to make adaptive volume adjustable in a future release?
Thanks again.

That would be volume levelling with the amp turned up a bit then!

I think you could simply add a 5db boost via the JRiver audio options.

Just add a +5dB lift via the parametric equalizer in DSP.
