JRemote 3.26 for iOS released - question re: changes
« on: January 21, 2019, 04:38:34 pm »

Are the notes on the iOS app store exhaustive, or are there other minor tweaks and such included but not listed?

I am glad that streaming has been included in JRemote, but when I select it I get four text lines showing Radio Paradise [groovy], [mellow], [rocking] and [main channel].  I am not able to select any of these, they just stare at me.
Am I doing something wrong?
I have Player zone selected.

Same here, but it works, music begins to play and you can see all infos in info screen. it's strange not to get any response after clicking one of these lines.
Bad to see that we get the first new version since a long time and to see that all user wishes were ignored.

The RP playback needs work but it does work for me in general.
The caveats are that it's only supported on the player zone for now and it's not zone aware so the player zone must be the selected zone on the server MC.
This can be accomplished by using the option "Server follows app zone changes" and selecting the player zone. Going forward, we'd like to add zone capability to the RP play commands.

The version notes include all of the changes in this build.
Some functions might act differently since the whole compile system for the JRemote app is much newer than with the last release.
As noted, we are using the more up to date http transport in the current build.

We plan on moving forward in a deliberate manor in order to avoid degrading the stability of JRemote.

yes, my comment regarding Radio Paradise was trying it on my server with connected DAC. It works not on my Volumio client. I do not have Zones.

Thanks for the JRemote update. I’m a little bummed the size ratio is still not fixed for iPhone X models. Black space at top and bottom.

See screenshot. Is this something in the works? Please let us know. And, thank you for this glorious app.

That's on the todo list. I'd like to shake any serious bugs out of this one first.

The response, especially rendering of album artwork seems a lot quicker and snappier.

Many thanks Bob.

On my old iPAD4 I have very much the same impression.

Streaming works also.

Great Job !
