Hi,
i am new to the wonderful world of audiophile, and i have a noob/brainlet question.
I am considering buying MC, and would rather get a Linux license, but have the following question:

On Linux, with a Ifi Nano Black Dac , when i play any Dsd/dsf file, it outputs it correctly from MC, but when i run the command cat /proc/asound/card*/stream0, i get the following output: When playing a Dsd 64 file

The colours on the Ifi Dac are correct (dark Blue for Dsd256, Whitish for Dsd128), but the Momentary Frequence shown on the command line is different ...

It uses altset2, but not at the "correct" Frequence, i.e 88198 Hz instead of 2.8Mhz.
There is also no 2.8Mhz under the rates of altset 2. (Playing a Dsd128 file uses 176397 Hz, and Dsd256 352795 Hz)

Under MC, i have Dsd Bitstreaming; hw: Ifi Alsa ...; and play Dsd as native Dsd.

Am i doing something wrong/missing something?

Under Tools->Options->Audio->Settings you need to click the checkbox for outputting native DSD if you want to play that way. Otherwise if the DSP studio isn't in use you are using DoP (there is no downside to using DoP BTW).
