upgrade problem
« on: March 02, 2019, 09:58:39 pm »

Started out with purchasing MC25 upgrade, going from MC21Windows 32bit Vista. Downloaded MC24 and used upgraded Key and would never install, kept getting JR tools not loaded error etc.
Got frustrated and put it aside.  Now I have new computer, Win10/64bit, downloaded MC24 and restored my key, and says not valid for this product?  had key emailed to me and noticed it had MC22 Listed with it?,so now really confused, do I need to download MC22 ? will it work on 64bit? key is supposed top be for latest 25??

I believe this has been mentioned before a couple of times, and it's quite possible MC won't run on Windows Vista anymore. The MC25 license won't work for MC22 either, unfortunately.

According to the Windows system requirements, it requires Windows 7 and above.

Make sure you're using the latest MC 24.0.75 build for it to accept a MC25 license.

It can be found here: https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,119211.0.html

I want to send Thanks here .
I finally figured out what was going on. I started out on a 32bit Vista system I was trying to keep current with MC21, I bit on the "in app" prompts (and e-mails to me) to upgrade to MC25, I paid my upgrade fee and I never could get it installed (error's JR tools not installed etc.).
I then decided it's time!, New computer. I now installed MC24, my 25 key should work now correct?
wrong! still no luck.
The truth is (or it seems)I never had a 25 key, it was for 22. I downloaded 22 and used that, then had to pay "again" to bring it up to 25(24).
I'm sure you all will let me know if I have @$@%^ for brains.
At least you know some thought process here.
Waiting on my sound card to arrive. Thanks

yes I did, my orignal upgrade "only" worked with MC22, even though I bought it under a MC25 upgrade, that's why I had it in my head that it should work, after many attempts I noticed in my E-Mail sent on a restore that there was a m22 at the bottom?
I was not only frustrated, but kinda irked that I had to upgrade twice.

upgrade for mc25 should work for all mc down to mc10

if you have proof of purchase for those 2 upgrade you bought ... pretty sure they will refund you

We haven't sold anything but MC25 licenses for a few months now.
