NEW: TV Improvements in MC25

There have been a number of improvements in television in MC25.  Here is a list of new features and some improved features.


NEW: Live TV in time-shifting mode and TV recordings in JTV format will have full support of switching among multiple DVB Subtitles properly.

NEW: TV Recording disk space status in standard view.  On clients this shows the status of both the server and the client.

NEW: Provisional scheduled TV recordings get differently colored icons.

NEW: Option to "run selected profiles in silent mode" on EPG loading dialog.

NEW: "TV Channels" context menu during live TV playback, for changing channels using the mouse.

Changed: Added "Series ID" and "Custom" to television subscription rule editor.

NEW: "Export / Import" button on TV recording rules edit dialog.

Changed: Improved Theater View television guide navigation behavior.

NEW: In Standard television view, scheduled TV recordings with tuner conflicts are displayed in orange color.

NEW: Channel scanning and EPG scanning can be done on a client.

NEW: Client TV tuners can be used to record shows into server library.

NEW: An option to mark out new shows (not reruns) in Theater view TV guide grid.  An optional column "New" in Standard view EPG.

NEW: Updated/created some satellite frequency table files (for DVB-S).

NEW: An option to scan DVB-S and DVB-C channels using Network Information Table instead of the static frequency table files.  Support for Sat>IP devices with this option will be out soon.

Previously only one stream was saved, so you could not really switch back and forth among different streams.

With these you will have more flexibility in setting up recording rules, including copying and pasting from a different recording subscription.

Changed: Improved Theater View television guide navigation behavior.

Much improved for Up/Down arrow navigation! Unfortunately, Page up/Page dwn still show the same behavior of skipping way off the screen to the right.
