Hi, I have the latest android version 25.0.16 running in Sony Xperia XZ with android 8.0.0.
I have a main bug, and main issue (not sure if you call this a bug).
1. Bug. The Autorun import is not loading all the files under the Music folder of the SD card (128GB). Not sure if there is a set limitation in this beta version? I have not yet noticed a patter.Under Music, I have Classical folder. This folder contains many folders under composer name or CD name, most of these may have more subfolders for each original CD with FLAC music. Many are captured, but also many are completely missed (eg. all my Mahler collection; or Radu Lupu on Beethovenīs 5 piano concertos). I have already erased the cache, no change. Then I eliminated and reloaded the app, starting autorun from 0. Again the same folders are missing.
See attachments with views on my SD card, and the missing albums in JRiver. These are just two examples, there are more folders missing.

2. Issue: When playing a CD, particularly for classical music, each file may have a very long title name, so when playing a particular CD, I can't scroll on the name to find out which section is currently playing, as it would only show me the first part of the title which is common to all files in the CD. See the photo attached, cannot tell more info of the current track that is playing, all look alike.

Finally, just to say I run JRiver with the same files on my NAS, with a Master License, in a MAC, and in a Win10. And all these files show correctly there....
Many thanks.

Are the missing files a different file type?

JRiver is only looking in the Music folder.

See if you can find out if it's a limitation of the length of a path.  Copy and paste a folder up a few levels.

Hi Jim,
They are all FLAC. Will try to move one missing folder up some levels, to check if path length is the issue...
Thanks

Hi again, just moved one CD folder for Radu Lupu right below the CLASSICAL level (one below Music), and now, yes, it was imported. So it may be related to path length. Can I expect this to be sorted at some moment in JRiver, or it will be a limitation from Android? It will be quite painful to change folder structure, also different to what I have in the NAS...
Thanks,

Thanks,

Did the previous folder it was in have any square brackets [ ] in it? There is a bug with importing that causes it to ignore folders with square brackets in the name. It doesn't seem to affect files with square brackets in the name though.

Haha, same issue I just posted here: https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,118438.msg830673.html#msg830673

Yep, it's caused by [ and ] in the folder name.

Indeed it may be the case. All of the folders not being recognized & imported have brackets [ ].  In the case of the Radu Lupu CD folder that I moved up in levels for testing and that was then recognized had no brackets, but it was contained before in a folder that did have them....Also I have to say that all other music applications in the phone can see the folders even with the brackets, so apparently it is not an android issue. So hopefully it will be sorted in some future release  :)

This import bug should be fixed in the next build.
