Media Server icon not present after reboot
« on: May 19, 2003, 09:56:35 am »

Ever since I uninstalled MJ8 and installed MC9, I have noticed that when I reboot my XP machine, Media Server:

1. Starts up for user 1 but the icon does not appear in the taskbar. I can tell MS is active by running task manager and looking at processes.

2. If I switch users in XP and go to user 2, Media Server attempts to start up but gives an error message saying it cannot bind the port. This makes sense because the port is already being used by user 1 on the same machine.

I am using manual port selection on with MS.

I did not have this problem with Media Jukebox 8.

Another problem I am having which I believe is unrelated is this: when I log into the XP machine over remote connection, audio drivers do not appear to work with User 2 only.

Audio drivers do work if you log in to the machine as user 2 directly, or log in to the machine as user 1 remotely or directly.

Wierd.
