I just cannot get MC 25.0.34 (64 bit) to play [Solved]

Here is my system:
Mac OS Mojave 10.144.4
Media Centre 25.0.34
External Speaker: Bowers and Wilkins A5

I just cannot get Media Centre 25.0.34 to play.
My sound settings are set to to A5., but for some reason it is switching back to the default settings. I have played with the settings to no avail.

Re booted my Mac to see if the settings will hold. It is not holding.

Please help a 70 year old guy.

I'm not a Mac person, but I have a dim memory of a similar problem.  The solution was a setting for "integer mode".
