25.0.18 and Core Audio
« on: June 19, 2019, 07:06:07 pm »

Been using 25.18 for couple months and came back to it after being off for 2 weeks. Playback attempt is telling me there’s a playback problem.... what ? “Output format may not be supported ...use DSP studio to change output to compatible format”....uh,  nothings changed , 44.1k redbook all that’s needed... really at loss how this occurs with software previously seemless ??All settings and device outputs are correct. When I pull up the 24 app, playback is normal. My OS is El Capitan, certainly there’s no conflict at least with the 25.18 version !

There's a newer build posted near the top of this board.  Please update.

Did reinstall 25.50 from interact page as before. Shows as version 26 in apps, loads as 25, and does not play “core audio at 44.1”.....

Please go through audio setup in options again.  I don't know of a general problem with MC and Core Audio.

Is it possible you are playing to a device that only supports 48k or is fixed in the 48k mode?
You can test by checking the Tools->Options->Audio settings in MC and making sure it's selecting the default core audio device and you could change DSP studio to resample to 48k for testing.
