What version of MC are you using. WDM had some early problems but you shouldn't have any clicking now.
WDM was greatly improved in MC24 (and MC25) so it should work pretty nicely there now.
Maybe so, but the idea of paying for the same feature twice is foreign to me.
You can try it for free for 30 days to see if it fixes the pops and clicks you experienced.

Yeah, that's likely the bad thing about Spotify, the lossy streaming quality.Honestly, if I was going to use a streaming service with the WDM driver, I'd use Qobuz or Tidal.
