IdPi 4B Can't Run Headless
« on: October 20, 2019, 05:12:26 pm »

I am using a Pi4B with the latest Id 25.0.7 with MC 25.0.107.

If i start my Pi with monitor connected I can then use JRemote, Mo 4Media, VNC, and it shows up as zones on my other PCs running MC.

With no monitor connected I get none of this. My router shows it connected to the network but I can't use it for anything.

No
I switched to text mode and it now works fine without a monitor connected.

I believe on previous versions running on Pi3 it didn't matter if you were in text or GUI mode when running headless. I could be wrong though.

Thanks

You are correct about previous versions running without a monitor connected. We'll check that. If it's not related to the Pi4 specifically we should be able to get that fixed.
