Upgrading to MC26 with Master License
« on: November 05, 2019, 01:26:01 am »

I just purchased a pre-order upgrade for MC26 Master License but I did it on a different PC. I now have the new Registration Code but I can't apply it to my MC25. The dialog in Help>Upgrade to Master License requires a new purchase. Should I just wait until the new MC26 download is available and then apply the upgrade license or can I cancel the purchase and just start over while still taking advantage of the pre-order discount?  ?

Make sure you're using the latest MC25 build, 25.0.114.

OK Awesome Donkey. Yes, I did the update 3 days ago. I am now running at MC25.0.114. Does this affect my ability to upgrade to a Master License for MC26? Or is my question as to should I be patient and wait until the MC26 download is available before I use my Registration code to get upgraded still relative? I can't think of anything else to do at this point. Is there another option I haven't considered?

You can try:

Help> Registration Info> Reset and Restore License

Then paste in your new registration code.

When you purchased MC26 Master Licence JRiver sent you an email. Attached to that email is a *.mjr file.

If you did the purchase less than 14 days ago, copy that mjr file to each PC where you want to use the licence and double click on it. That will install the MC26 Master Licence onto that PC.

If you did the purchase more than 14 days ago, follow the Restore Licence procedure. You will be sent another email with an mjr file attached to it. You can use that new mjr file to licence PCs for 14 days.
