Search not working JRemote 3.29

When I click on the search icon in JRemote from my iPad the search window pops up ( I think) but nothing shows up when I type in any characters. I have closed and powered off my iPad, but this didn’t result in any change all the other functions in JRemote work correctly.  I am connected to MC 25.0.114 running on my rpi.

Problem still persists in 3.30. It seems the fix is elusive.  Still JRemote is a great tool.
