Terratec Aureon Space
« on: April 30, 2003, 01:51:17 pm »

Hi Matt,

Congrads on the 9.0 release.  The beta testing has been a wonderful experience, downloading the new release almost everyday.

With 9.0, I'm thinking of purchasing the ATI All-in-wonder card for viewing cable programming.

I have a new Terratec Aureon Space sound card, which gives very good hifi sound with MC 9.0.  However, if I use this sound card, MC cannot control the volume.  The control bar in MC does not move.

Do you know why?
Have you tested MC 9.0 with the Terratec Aureon Space card?

Same card, latest drivers...
Confirmed: no volume control under DirectSound, WaveOut or ASIO, regardless of device chosen (tried them all). Volume slider is displayed but does not function. It does show me what the current volume level is when clicked on, though  ;)

I also use a TerraTec Audio Card (EWX24/96) and had the same situation regarding lack of control through my software.  I believe this is standard with many of the TerraTec devices as it is not fully recognized by windows and thus does not interface the same as a standard 'sound card'.
My TerraTec card came with GigiSampler which I believe was to be used as a mixer/processor and may have allowed for more software control, however that was not XP compatible and unable to be used.
Soultion for me was to go back to my SoundBlaster for listening so I can use my remote control and use the TerraTec for recording (guitar tracks and such).

Hi Matt,

Any update on whether this card will be supported?  The Terratec Aureon Space card is awesome, and really hope it can be supported by MC 9.0.
