[Solved] One File Out of 8000 Does Not Sort Correctly in MC
« on: January 05, 2020, 02:26:48 pm »

Please see the attached file and notice the red arrow.

No matter what I do, I cannot get the files in that album to sort so that Track 4 is between Tracks 3 and 5. I've tried several different sorts, restarted MC, rebooted computer and then started MC... but nothing works. When I check using Windows Explorer the files in that album are listed in the correct order.

I've been using MC since around 2003 and have never seen this problem until now. Anybody have any ideas why that one particular file keeps relocating to the top of the list for that album?

Check the [Disc #] field for that file. It is probably set to 1 while the other tracks are set to 2.

Right you are! I never would have thought of that. Never even saw the [Disk #] parameter. Thank you for your reply.  :)
