Don't know if I am doing this right.

I think this might be a bug.

All of my albums are jumbled up in the the tracks. Meaning they are no longer 1.2.3.4.5.6.7. etc they are not in any order at all.

Again might not be a bug, but it is annoying to have to back and choose convert for each set of songs I want to convert from AIFF to either ALAC or FLAC. It finishes, I press close and it doesn't stay In the choice box (like Rip does). I have to start from the beginning for each set of conversion. It's just time consuming and annoying.

I am very pleased to know that I had been led up the garden path with regard to insisting that all of my files be in AIFF. I am in the process of redoing them all in ALAC or Flac thus saving me tons of space and keeping my hi res files too.

If you are viewing a list of files in MC, see the headers like album artist name track etc.
Click on any of those sorts by the field you clicked on.
So if you click on track it will order them by that numerically.

Hello. "Select all" doesn't work in panel view or thumbnail view.
We just tried it with Command-A and it worked fine.
It looks like in your screen shot that all of the files in the lower right are selected....

Now I've tried it again and it works. But the other day, before I put the message, I tried it several times.

I had selected the files myself with command+shift. Command+A didn't work the other day.

I have found it easy to become confused with MC on macOS, especially if a dialog box is visible but not obscuring the thing I want to use.  E.g. the options dialog, or DSP Studio can do this.

This kind of issue may not explain what you are reporting with Command+A, but I have personally experienced multiple mysterious "why can't i do this or that" kinds of problems in MC because of this.  Now when this happens I use Command+` to check if there is an obscured window that is confusing me.

I experienced recently a similar thing. Certain commands would just not work (e.g. Tools/Options) until I discovered that they actually did work but with a few minutes (!!) delay. Just before this, I had changed multiple fields and so I assume that MC was still updating the library in the background and that this slowed everything down. I had observed temporary slow-downs before but never for minutes, usually just a few seconds.
Cheers,
Hans

This has been the case from earlier versions, but some special characters, like the letter Ř (when using the Czech alphabet, for example, Antonin Dvořak), when used in a name of a Playlist, make all items in the Playlist disappear; as if it's a character it doesn't recognize.

I couldn't duplicate this. See the enclosed screenshot.
I made a smart list with that character in it then pasted it into the conductor field tags which is what the smart list is built on and you can see the result.

Thanks Bob! I should have specified this earlier because this may be the difference; it's the Playlist Group that doesn't seem to handle those special characters. As soon as I enter that R with the check on top, all Playlists in the Group disappear.
