Disable creation of waveforms - Linux
« on: March 13, 2020, 04:34:25 am »

I am using the newest version of the MC for Linux and I wanted to disable creation of waveforms. I have done:
"MC's Options > Library & Folders > Manage Library Fields > find Waveform in the list and uncheck" - it is from Windows version forum.

The result is that Audio Analyze for new files still writes the waveform tag. I have to clear this tag manually.

It would be nice to check it if it is only my problem.

It looks that creating the waveform tags slows down Audio Analyze. I think that it would be better to disable it as a default option.

Thank you.

When write to tags is unchecked/disabled, it 'writes' the Waveform tag to MC's library/database itself, and not the files. Every few days after I add new files to my library, I clear the Waveform tag. Right now there's no way to disable that.

I do exactly the same. Perhaps the users should vote if they want it or not.
