How to Re-rip Files and Retain Tags

I'm trying to replace OGG files with fresh ripped MP3 ones.  I've done a lot of experimenting with LIBRARY TOOLS but nothing has worked.  There must be an accepted process for this.  Any clues will be appreciated.

This is easily done.  As a prerequisite you must ensure you have the exact same number of files, in the exact same order.

That said, you can update tags into the files from the library, or copy and paste tags.  The copy/paste is much easier.  See these two links:
