MC crashes before finishing sync
« on: April 21, 2020, 09:01:58 am »

I'm trying to sync my library to a new Sony walkman NW-A55 and it crashes before I get halfway through (its a big library, 300 gig so this is an all day effort).  The error diagnostic is below, can someone tell me what it means, or what I should do?

An update for you handheld users out there: I did get the whole library synched, though it took maybe a dozen attempts.  Each time it appeared as if it was starting from scratch, but I don't think that's entirely true as each time there were more files on the sd card, even though the sync "failed".  Eventually they were all there and the sync completed. Stubborn persistence can pay off sometimes.

But I have to say, I'm disappointed with the lack of response from JRiver. What's the point of having error codes if no one at JRiver will interpret them for you?  I get that they may have more important things going on, but still, it's disappointing.

Scott,

I hope you are still out here. I agree that JRiver support is strange, and sometimes frustrating, but if you read the why this is customer support answer from them, it will help. Asking the right question, or searching the right... whatever is important for you to get anything out of this forum.

Having said this, I just got an NW-A55 last month. I like it for the most part. I have had issues with album artwork. Any idea on why it does recognize the artwork sometimes, and why it doesn't? Always using jpeg's.

Thanks,
Kyle
