Translucent Information Rectangle at top of Screen

Whenever I launch a video on JRiver Media 26 I briefly get a translucent information rectangle.  I really would like to start my videos "clean" without that "bar."  It's fine for it to come up when I move the mouse around but I really would like to stop it from appearing automatically upon launching a video file.
Given all the wonderful features of 26 I imagine that there is some way to set the options to avoid seeing this translucent rectangle.
