MC 26.0.80 (64bit) running on Windows 10 Home. I've had this problem for years, but just posting about it. I have a large music library (~200K files; 8.9TB). I typically use the Recent Albums folder as my default view. MC loads the thumbnails very quickly in this folder.

If I switch to another folder (e.g., Artists), MC freezes and goes into a greyed-out "not responding" state. Sometimes this will clear up after several minutes; other times I have to hard-crash the program and restart.
