MacOS maximise window behaviour question
« on: June 04, 2020, 06:18:13 am »

I'm new to this forum and also Media Centre so sorry if this is a numpty question.

I have a Mac Mini running MacOS Catalina 10.15.5. I trialled MC25 and am now on MC 26.0.73 and about to buy a licence. On both apps I notice that the window maximise button (top left corner, green) seems to behave differently from other apps. For example Safari will fill the whole screen and then I can 2 finger swipe from left to right to switch to other maximised apps. With Media Centre it doesn't fill the whole screen and it doesn't become one of those maximised apps I can 2 finger swipe to get to. Basically, it seems to remain on my main Desktop window. Not an issue really but a minor irritation.

Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

Yeah, MC doesn't support that function, instead it works like a maximize window button (which is what I prefer, in my opinion). If MC ever supports that, I hope it's optional.

Ok - thanks.

I also found this after I posted which covers the same area in a lot more detail: https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=104058.0
