Media Center 25 via ethernet
« on: November 27, 2020, 06:38:29 am »

Hi there,

At the moment, I am playing around with my audio setup. I just bought myself a streaming DAC, a Gold Note DS-10. It is connected via ethernet and router to my NAS (Qnap), where my library lies. I now found out that MC 25 is able to send the music files from the NAS to the DAC, which is great. I guess it uses DLNA/upnp for this. DSD files are played very slow though, like half the speed they normally should play. Maybe MC wasn't built for streaming music files via DLNA/upnp, but as it works, I'm happy with it. Probably someone here has made some experience with such a set-up and knows how to speed up the music files.

Thanks in advance!

With my new M1 MacBook Air Media Center 25 still has problems playing DSD64 files that are hosted by my NAS and sent via ethernet cable to my DAC. Now DSD64 files only play in a stutter mode. Other upnp players send DSD files to my DAC without those problems.

Any thoughts anyone? Maybe I missed a setting. Or are there any improvements made in newer Media Center versions?

Thanks!
