IdPi SD card corrupted? Stopped on boot
« on: November 30, 2020, 04:23:07 pm »

Rebooted the IdPi with the purchased SD card. Now it doesn't complete booting up. Last 3 lines on the screen are:
            Starting Up...evel Changes.
[  OK  ] Started Upd...nlevel Changes.
__ (flashing cursor)

Did I mess it up? It's been sitting like that for about 5 minutes.

Sorry to hear. I thought about just loading MC with a master license / arm load but I like the customization JRiver did so the IdPi, as they say, is more like an appliance. Did you ever get to the bottom of why it happened? Is it an inherent issue with the IdPi on SD card? Was it because of an update happening? Thanks.

I suspect it happened due to to pulling the power on it.
I use them without a monitor and keyboard but only use them as a renderer my main Library server is an intel nuc running windows JR 27.
Trouble is that sometimes they crash, and you can't get into them with VNC. The other half has a low tolerance to flaky devices, if she wants to listen to music she will try and restore it herself! 9 times out of 10 it works...
At least having them working as a Pi means that in general I can have them working again very quickly. Waiting for cards flying across the Atlantic is a non starter for me now. Especially with the Delivery services being hammered by Covid.
