[Resolved] Where Are Views Stored?
« on: December 12, 2020, 08:17:30 pm »

While I was viewing my playlists I created a view, named it "My Playlist View", and saved it. I can see it in the drop-down list that appears when I right-click one of my column headers (Artist, Track, etc.).

I have searched my disk for "My Playlist View.jvi". I can see other jvi files but cannot see that one. Where is it stored?

I'm pretty sure when you initially create a new custom view they are stored internally, not as a file on disk.

You can always save them manually from 'customize view', under 'saved views', 'save this view'. The path it then suggests defaults to
C:\Users\your_user\AppData\Roaming\J River\Media Center 27\Library\Saved Views\

I just saved my view to my JRiver Backup folder and I can now see it there. I had forgotten that views are not saved when they are created unless I take specific steps to save them. Thank you for your help. :)
