In addition to the complete albums, many artists are also represented on collections.
In the \ Artist \ Album view, the covers of these collections appear very often on top. Instead of a cover that is typical for the artist, the same generic covers appear for many artists.
This is also the case in the standard view, but it changes every time the mouse is over it. But in the theater view this stack remains static. For an artist with 12 individual albums, I only ever see the cover of the same hit sampler all the time.
Excluding these collections is not an option because I have some songs in this form only.
Instead, I created a calculated field for 'Album', which returns an empty string for multi artist albums. This means that they appear as a single album under the artist. But even this doesn't help in favoring the covers of the full albums.
The cover view is a fine thing. However, if it does not provide a meaningful picture for half of the performers, then the meaning is lost.
Are there any settings which influence the fanning ? Would it be possible that MC could put Single Artist albums on top of Multiple Artist albums ?
