I change all of my playlist views to have the following columns in this order:

• Seq (if applicable)
• Name
• Artist
• Album
• Last Played (if applicable)
• Rating
• Genre
• Track #
• Duration
• Sample Rate
• Bit Depth
• File Type
• Number Plays
• Year
• Filename

Changing a view once keeps my changes for every launch later except for Recently Imported playlist view.  All my changes get lost and revert to something hard-coded in the code base.

Can this please be fixed?

Make yourself a new playlist with the same parameters, and your changes will persist.

Thanks for your work-around, but I am asking JRiver to fix this issue.

I don't think it's an "issue" that needs fixing. 

There are so many users who claim "I can't find the files I just imported" that I think it's a good thing they cannot permanently alter (or mess up) the Recently Imported smartlist, as that would cause further confusion.  Changing this would be unnecessary and deleterious.

So I for one would not be in favor or any such changes, especially when personal customization is already available by making one's own smartlists.

Why what you just wrote is not fully thought out:

As I previously posted originally, I am able to modify colums for:

Playing Now
Recently Played
Recently Modified

and several other built-in play lists.  It appears that Recently Imported was simply missed.  Your rationale does not make sense, since I am able to alter columns for everything else and nothing has been broken by me.

This is a bug.

You have no idea what you are talking about.

I did find a solution to this issue, and I can now start MC27.0.43 with Recently Imported displaying all columns I previously defined at startup.

My solution involves defining preferred columns you want defined:



I set Recently Imported to use this preset.  After doing this, I may close MC27 then restart it to make use of this same preset displaying all columns I wish to see.  This works perfectly.

What does not work is simply attempting to modify the columns for Recently Imported without using a preset.  If you attempt this, all changes are lost when you close MC27.

The solution is to use a preset instead of directly altering the columns.
