i have, for the longest time, been able to use my roku with mc. I am trying to help an elderly friend, from 1100 miles away. hes using win 10,im using 7. MC sees his smart tv, and the roku shows up in the roku media player app. but when any menu item is chosen, the screen flashes and displays the same menu. My roku is now doing the same thing. I installed win 10 so I could play with some settings. I've disabled the av and its firewall. But, I think my bigger question is what services NEED to be on and what ones NEED to be off? I have read about problems with WMC and windows 7 and I have that disabled. but I dont know what I changed to make mine suddenly not work. Any help would be very much appreciated. The friend I'm trying to help also had a stroke about a year ago, so he's not all there. Trying to create some sort of parity between his up and downstairs tv, therefore, I had him buy the rokus.
