MAC 27 - verifying on every start up
« on: February 28, 2021, 03:12:49 am »

Hi - a minor thing - I have downloaded and installed 27 to my MAC and this morning the new beta version to see if it fixed this issue - but it hasn't. It works fine. The issue is if I close the programme and reopen it. It goes through the verifying process and then comes up with the message "MediaCenter 27" is on the disk image "Media Center 270057.dmg"....etc. I had no problems with 26 on this mac, it just starts fine. So I just want to confirm please if 27 is different and needs to verify itself as a legit copy or something on every start up? Or maybe it needs reloading? I am new to MAC :-) Thanks for any help.

It sounds like you're starting the .dmg file and not the actual app from the Applications folder. Did you put the .dmg file in the Applications folder? If so, that's why.

Awesome Donkey - thanks. Ah, I see. I have it working now, weird as I had to reimport the library. I have been a lifelong Windows man, I hope to get to grip with Apple at some point :-)
