MC hanging having to use force quit / crashing

Hi just downloaded the |MAC version (INTEL) and noticed that after installing this (no issues) MC seems rather unstable. Its crashing when trying to play DTS wav tracks or at other points after having made changes to the transformation of audio it will hang and can't be stopped by any other means then a force quit.
MC version 27.0.66
MacMini 2014 (16 GB ram)
Output via hdmi
OS: Big sur 11.2.3
