ripping CD with new 28

I just purchased the new version (28), but I am having trouble ripping CD into hard drive?  It would start well, and slow down then stalled in halfway through the CD.  Any thoughts/solutions?  I am using Windows 10.

Please try configuring Windows Defender.

Check avaiilable disk space.
