I use the latest version of the VST2 processor and the Dirac live application.
I have multiple filters, but consistently use one of the filters.
I start JRiver from the default shortcut and I can't think of anything I do differently when this happens.
I have not sat down and thoroughly tested this to get an idea of frequency of occurrence, but it does not occur on every startup (sorry I can't be more precise).
Once the issue is resolved (by selecting a new filter/reselecting original), it doesn't occur again until another fresh startup of JRiver.
But... when the issue does occur, I am certain it is only with initial startup. Once it's "fixed" it remains properly set.
I do that filter switch and hear the volume drop and bass corrected due to the filter properly engaging. Depending on music, this volume/bass change can be very subtle, so sometimes it takes a while before I realize the filter is not working properly. Other times, I recognize it immediately.
Just mentioning again, in case you missed in OP.... The VST2 plugin's meter works properly, even when I notice the filter not processing properly. The filter looks like it should be doing something ...
I know the VST2 and VST3 are basically the same, but would it help with troubleshooting if I switch to Dirac's VST3 plugin?
This is more of an annoyance than critical issue, but it would be nice to figure out what is going on with my system.
Thanks
