JRiver running native on NAS

Is it possible to have JRiver as a native application for the QNAP line of NAS units?
They have their own app store where you can purchase apps, and that will update the aps for you in the background.

Given that you have developed a Linux version, as soon as it is feature complete with the Windows version, it would be nice to see a port to a NAS unit, strictly as a server version.  For example, I would never expect the NAS version to directly play the WMA files in my library, but it would be much better if it could serve up the data to a client which could, or even transcode them when needed.

I have quite a large database and would love to migrate it to my media server if at all possible.

Nope, years ago JRiver did a QNAP version but it didn't work out for them, so they discontinued it and they no longer have any interest in porting MC to NASes.

Right now (and likely for the future) Docker is the only option for NASes.

However, if all you're doing is audio, I highly suggest getting a Raspberry Pi and installing MC on that and using that with a NAS.
