Jremote2. What am I missing
« on: September 06, 2021, 07:09:05 pm »

Bought me a Samsung tablet and loaded Jremote2. Got it configured and up and running. What am I missing because I can't remotely control jriver for the computer. I can play the music from my computer on my tablet. I see the theater mode but when I activate it, all I see is the jriver emblem on my tablet and if I look at my computer screen I can see it is now in theater mode. My whole point of buying a tablet and going with Jremote2 was to sit in my chair and select my music from tablet and control the volume and maybe some DSP settings from the tablet.  I hope I'm missing something??

Have you activated the MC media server?
Did you find your server and enter it's access key in the JRemote app?

Change the zone to "Player" in JR2.

In MC go to Tools/Options/Audio/Volume and set to Internal volume.

I have selected internal volume. I don't see anyplace on Jremote2 that allows me to control volume when using live in as my source

I am curious for people that have used JRemote and Jremote2, is JRemote 2 a better remote?  I just dont like Jremote2...  It has it quirks.

The hardware volume keys should work.

You can also use the volume slider at the top of Playing Now.
