« on: September 23, 2021, 05:08:28 pm »

Needing some ideas to save me from madness!
I have updated both my computer and JRiver at the same time and now I find i have a small static sound on playback..it is low level..random pops.. but not evident whilst streaming radio.I went back to my old laptop running MC24 and there is no sound that should not be there..latest laptop is a Dell latitude..any help much appreciated

Try checking your DSP studio settings and compare them with those in version 24.

I had a similar problem with I updated from version 21 to version 28 - rather than "pops", I was getting some "snaps" (like a whip snapping). I also lost a lot of bass. After I went through the DSP settings I finally got pretty much what I wanted. Most of the "snaps" had disappeared while my bass was back to something I could live with.

Also try adjusting buffering under device settings.
