Editing file proerties and the comment field
« on: March 27, 2003, 12:19:44 pm »

I'm playing with using MC rather than other tag editors to edit file properties. Currently, I use Tag&Rename to download the info from the allmusic.com website. This puts a review of the album in the comment field (id3v2).

Now, if I use MC to edit file properities (add custom fields, for example), the text of the album review is truncated to one line.  The rest of the text is lost.

The truncated text appears as if it contains the number of characters allowed in the ID3V1 spec.

Is there any way to preserve all of the text in my comment field?

Can you report what build you have?  You can copy system info from MC and paste it here.
