Theater Mode Shutdown Command change
« on: October 21, 2021, 12:29:30 am »

Hi,

I am using JRiver in theater mode directly from startup. Now I want to skip mouse and use a remote control only. Start, Navigation,....works all fine. However: usually I shut down my pc using a .bat script which also shuts down the projector via a network command. Is there any possibility that I change the shutdown command in JRiver so it starts my .bat instead of diretly initiating the pc shutdown?

Thanks

Yes there is, Tools>Options>Theater View>Items to show>ADD>External program then fill out the Fields as follows:
Name: 'My Shutdown'
Program: %SystemRoot%\System32\cmd.exe
EDIT: (oops forgot the /c in the arguments)
Command Line Arguments: /c path_to_your_bat_file.bat

Then position the item where you would like it to appear in the Theater View menu.

Hi Terry

Wonderful! Seems I can order a remote Control today and really realize that mouse-less HTPC.

Thank you!
