JRiver WDM --> DLNA
« on: November 27, 2021, 11:11:13 am »

Hello

quick question - my friend has a Briscati M12 DAC connected with a network cable, and JRiver sends audio via DLNA just fine

however, he wants also Qobuz to utilize the same audio chain, and I can't get WDM to configure the audio device to use DLNA.

Is it still unsupported?

Yes, I don't believe it is supported.

Weird, is there any technical difficulty to support it?
Pity

As I understand it, DLNA requires a file size and there is no file size available when streaming. I think some programs have gotten around that issue, but I do not remember the details. It has been discussed here before, so you may be able to find it by searching. Perhaps one of the DLNA experts can provide more information.  I am only a casual DLNA user, so do not know the details.

I remember references to using BubbleUPnP to get around this limitation, but, again, do not know the details.

Quobuz does not work with DLNA

The question is about WDM driver sending the audio to one of DLNA zones rather than direct connection
