Any A/V Syncing Problems with USB DAC?

The 5.1 system I want to build would have my pc output 1080p video from the BDMV my external BD drive plays via HDMI to my Sony OLED TV, JRiver decodes the DTS MA and sends it via USB to this multichannel DAC https://www.exasound.com/Products/e688-channelDAC.aspx

But which are the ways how might a/v syncing be lost, and which steps to regain sync?
